Michael Augsberger

Healthcare leader with 30 years of corporate, private equity, venture and investment banking experience ranging and significant financing / transaction expertise, having executed M&A and a wide variety of financing transactions in excess of $50 billion.

Michael began his career in business development and regulatory affairs at IBAH, Inc., a contract research organization (CRO), and helped grow the company from a start-up to an international full-service CRO which listed publicly on Nasdaq and eventually was sold to a private equity firm.  His stints at Baxter and Merck KGaA involved successfully identifying and executing biotechnology related licensing transactions in the oncology and blood products therapeutic areas.  For 10 years, he sat on the board of Omega Mediation, a CRO owned by his family which he helped sell to a private equity firm.

Michael spent a combined fifteen years advising life sciences, medical technology and healthcare services board members and executive leadership teams on transactions whilst at Deutsche Bank and UBS, as well as on the buy side for one of China’s largest independent healthcare investment firms, Fosun.  Prior to joining Berlin Heals, Michael served as CFO of Lumendi, a medical technology company focused on pioneering endosurgery.
